Celebrating the bicycle’s 200th birthday

Zedler supports exhibition

The bicycle’s 200th birthday was reason enough for Ludwigsburg’s Oscar-Walcker-School to give their pupils an understanding of this means of transport.

Zedler-Institut helped the pupils to work their way into the history and development of the bicycle. The result of their dealing with the bicycle was comprised in an exhibition that will be open to the public from March 22 to June 29, 2017 at the State Archives Ludwigsburg. A few bicycles displayed originate from the collection built up by the expert Dirk Zedler together with the Ludwigsburg bicycle enthusiast Helge Schultz. In addition, the pupils obtained the necessary technical information, historical background knowledge and extensive photographic material.
